This free conference, produced by the Humber Museums Partnership and supported by Arts Council England, will explore how Under 5s and families engage with cultural environments and what the sector can do to develop and improve its offer.
Aimed at all those working with Under 5s either within museums, galleries and other cultural and heritage organisations or early years settings, this diverse and inspiring programme will feature key-note speakers, research presentation, panel discussions, case studies from Under 5s specialists and a range of practical workshops.
Freedom to Explore will focus on three core themes and delegates will be able to select from a number of sessions offered within each theme:
– Understanding development and learning in early years
– How do Under 5s experience museums and cultural venues?
– Developing inspiring spaces for Under 5s on a budget
