The Humber Museums Partnership are thrilled to announce the exciting launch of the new Framed Virtual Reality Museum app. The app will be unveiled across Library Services in Hull, East Riding and North Lincolnshire. Local advertising agency yesyesBD were responsible for building the app, and have worked collaboratively with the partnership. The 10 items featured in the Virtual Reality Experience were selected by museum curators from across the partnership. All 100 objects in the Framed collection can be view here.

Cardboard headsets, branded with the Framed logo, will feature in display stands across the library venues. These will be available to all. Users will have the opportunity to download the “Framed Virtual Museum” app via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. You will be able to start experiencing the virtual museum as soon as the phone is secured in the headset. By clicking the button on top of the headset, you will be able to move freely around the space. Once you are close enough to the objects, you can examine them closely and marvel at all the amazing details. Additionally, the app also provides interesting information about each of the objects.

The partnership will be officially unveiling the app across three separate locations. We encourage that you all save the following dates and times to your diaries:

  • Friday 17th March 2017, 10:00am (The Treasure House, Beverley)
  • Friday 17th March 2017, 1:00pm (Scunthorpe Central Library)
  • Wednesday 22nd March 2017, 1:00pm (Hull Central Library)

We look forward to seeing you there!
