Madame Clapham Dress

Black satin dress designed by Hull’s most celebrated dressmaker, Madame Clapham, in the 1920s. Madame Clapham opened a dressmaking salon on Kingston Square in Hull in 1887 and later attracted worldwide high-society patronage for her designs.
