In the words of the artist: ‘Lucian Freud, like Chaim Soutine, needed to have the subject before him before he could proceed, he said he felt “freer” with the model present. In this
workshop I will show examples of my work, talk about my influences, paint a brief demonstration, and then cast you off in “that little boat called painting”, to quote David Bomberg, to let you make what you will of painting the subject chosen.’
