This nostalgic, touring exhibition explores the history of the British Holiday Camp. The first Holiday Camp appeared in 1894 on the Isle of Man; however, it was in the 1930s that Billy Butlin launched the concept of the holiday camp in a gigantic way.
The concept grew rapidly after the Second World War and dominated the British holiday scene through the 1950s and 1960s. This exhibition celebrates this uniquely British institution.
Admission to this exhibition is free. “Morning Campers!” is located on the first floor of the Treasure House, Champney Road, Beverley.
