Guildhall

Humber Museums Partnership - Guildhall

The Guildhall is a prestigious historic building, with acres of oak and walnut panelling, marble floors and the city’s old courts and cells. It houses a public collection that includes fine art, sculpture, furniture, the Hull Tapestry and the Civic Insignia and silver.

WHAT’S HERE

Come and see the Hull Tapestry which shows the history and achievements of the city of Hull over the past 700 years. Twelve years in the making, the tapestry is made in colourful and varied stitch. Depicting Hull’s diverse history and pioneering spirit, the Hull Tapestry Group has fashioned a breathtaking montage of Hull life through the ages.
