To commemorate the Centenary of the First World War, Hull Museums presents an evening of music inspired by the Great War. Within the atmospheric soundings of the Streelife Museum, this very special evening will include music from the Hillbilly Troupe, film and performances that bring personal and poignant reflections of the impact of this war on Hull and its people.
The History Troupe and Hillbilly Troupe will be performing ‘Run for the Line’. This is the story of Jack Harrison (Hull FC) and Tom Bryan (Castleford) who went to war. In 1917 they fought along the Arras Front and won VCs for bravery. This is their story.
Through a mixture of spoken word and music, their stories will be told in the atmospheric surroundings of the Streetlife Museum, which will be open exclusively for this event.
