Martin John Millett is Laurence Professor of Classical Archaeology at the University of Cambridge and a Professorial Fellow of Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge. His recent survey and excavations at Thwing in East Yorkshire, have explored parts of a Roman farming settlement.
